EQUITHEME Airsafe by Freejump - Adult Airbag Vest Black

Developed by Freejump and designed for equestrian sports, the EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest provides enhanced protection for riders, meeting the new standard NF S72-800-2022.

France is the first country to adopt a standard regulating the manufacture of Equestrian Airbags, which are considered Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Pending European harmonization, this NF S72-800-2022 standard offers riders increased protection by regulating the protective surface area, the inflation speed, and requiring much more stringent impact tests for the vests.

Featuring a slim fit, the EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest is worn close to the body, over a thin layer of clothing, such as a T-shirt or a lightweight sweater.

This airbag provides protection for the rider's vital areas thanks to an extremely fast inflation time, an optimized protective surface, and excellent shock resistance.

The protective zones covered by the EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest include the neck, back, lumbar region, sacrum, pelvis, and chest.

• Optimized neck protection suitable for wearing with a certified riding helmet.
• Continuous hip protection ensures perfect alignment of the torso.
• Chest protection tailored to each size (24% of the chest circumference and 100% of the shoulder-waist length).
• Back protection also tailored to each size (20% of the chest circumference and 120% of the shoulder-waist length).
• Enhanced protection for the spine and vital organs with two torso heights per size for XS-S-M-L (regular fit / slim fit).

Its outstanding performance is also marked by an inflation speed of 98 ms (*for an adult size S airbag).

The EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest reaches the necessary pressure for optimal protection in 98 ms* and thus surpasses the impact tests of the AFNOR NF S78-800-2022 standard.

Compatible with clothing bearing the "Freejump Airbag Technology" patch, it can also be worn discreetly under a certified competition jacket**.

The EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest features an innovative trigger system.

The gas generator of EQUITHEME airbags is the most efficient on the market. It is lightweight and has a compact size.

Re-arming is made easier by the cap guide for unscrewing/rescrewing: easy re-arming and no chance of losing the cap. The ball cord's retaining clip allows for a safe and simplified reattachment.

The EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest is approved for Freejump cartridges only. There are 3 cartridge sizes to match the airbag size:

• 50 CC (for child sizes S and L).
• 60 CC (for sizes ranging from XXS to L)
• 85 CC (for sizes L long - XL - XXL)

A QR code printed on Freejump cartridges allows viewing a video tutorial on how to reload a new cartridge after an accident or accidental deployment.

Using cartridges from other brands or not suited to the vest size voids all warranties and manufacturer responsibilities.

The compatible garments are certified by the AFNOR NF S78-800-2022 standard.

Jackets compatible with the EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest must carry the label “FREEJUMP AIRBAG TECHNOLOGY – COMPATIBLE JACKET”     

Usage precautions

For optimal function, the vest must be the correct size: too large, it will be ineffective; too small, it may be dangerous upon deployment.

A regular visual inspection is necessary to check for signs of wear or abrasion on the vest's fabric.

It is recommended to store the vest on a hanger or flat, ideally in a protective cover. Do not fold the vest for storage or transport.
