The SPRENGER Pelham Bit - Short Shanks provides a more moderate action than a traditional Pelham with longer shanks.

However, the effect of this bit is still significant as it simultaneously impacts:

• the tongue
• the poll
• the lower jaw

The adjustment of the curb chain allows you to regulate the intensity of the bit's action. It should lie flat, in contact, and allow a 45° angle between the shanks and the axis of the mouth.

Often used with Pelham straps, the SPRENGER Pelham Bit - Short Shanks achieves a more precise action with two pairs of reins.

Crafted from stainless steel, it comes with its own curb chain.
