Developed by Freejump and designed to protect young riders from 25 kg (≈ 55 lbs) during horseback riding, the EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest offers enhanced protection by meeting the new standard NF S72-800-2022.

France is the first country to adopt a standard regulating the manufacturing of Equestrian Airbags, which are considered Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Pending European harmonization, this NF S72-800-2022 standard ensures increased protection for riders by regulating the coverage area, the inflation speed, and by requiring the vests to undergo much more rigorous impact tests.

With a tailored fit, the EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest is worn close to the body, over a thin layer of clothing such as a T-shirt or a light sweater.

This airbag helps to protect vital areas of the rider with an extremely fast inflation time, an optimized protection area, and excellent shock resistance.

The protection zones covered by the EQUITHEME Airsafe include the cervicals, back, lumbars, sacrum, pelvis, and thorax.

• Optimized cervical protection for use with a certified riding helmet.
• Continuous hip protection for perfect trunk alignment.
• Chest protection tailored to each size (24% of the chest circumference and 100% of the shoulder-waist length).
• Back protection also tailored to each size (20% of the chest circumference and 120% of the shoulder-waist length).
• Enhanced spinal cord and vital organs protection available in two torso heights per size on sizes XS-S-M-L (regular fit / slim fit).

Its high performance is also determined by its inflation speed of 98 ms (*for an adult size S airbag).

The EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest reaches the necessary pressure for optimal protection in 98 ms and thus exceeds the impact tests of the AFNOR NF S78-800-2022 standard.

Compatible with clothing bearing the "Freejump Airbag Technology" patch, it can also be discreetly worn under a certified competition jacket**.

The EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest features an innovative trigger system.

The gas generator in EQUITHEME airbags is the market's most efficient. It is lightweight and its size is reduced.

Re-arming is facilitated by the guide of the cap for unscrewing/rescrewing: easy re-arming and no possibility of losing the cap. The ball cord retention clip allows for a safe and simplified resetting of the ball cord.

The EQUITHEME Airsafe Airbag Vest is approved for Freejump cartridges only. There are three cartridge sizes to match the airbag size:

The child airbag is suited for a person of a minimum of 25 kg (≈ 55 lbs).

The adult airbag, starting from size XXS, is suitable for a person of 1.45 m (≈ 4.75 ft) and a minimum of 35 kg (≈ 77 lbs).

• 50 CC (for child sizes S and L).
• 60 CC (for adult sizes XXS to L)
• 85 CC (for adult sizes L long - XL - XXL)

A QR code printed on the Freejump cartridges allows viewing a video explaining how to reassemble a new cartridge after an accident or accidental release.

Using cartridges of another brand or not adapted to the size of the vest voids all warranties and responsibilities of the manufacturer.

Usage precautions

For optimal operation, the vest must be the correct size: too large, it will be ineffective; too small, it could be dangerous during deployment.

A regular visual inspection is necessary to check for signs of wear or abrasion on the vest's textile.

It is recommended to store the vest on a hanger or flat, ideally in a protective cover. Do not fold the vest for storage or transport.
