Metalab Cyprium short shank Weymouth Bit
Featuring a tongue relief for enhanced comfort, the Metalab Cyprium Short Shank Weymouth Bit encourages salivation and thus relaxation in the horse.
Mainly composed of copper (90%), cyprium is an alloy that includes aluminum and steel.
More durable than copper, this alloy offers the same benefits.
With its short shanks, the Metalab Cyprium Short Shank Weymouth Bit is a type of Weymouth bit known as a mors L'hotte, which has a less significant leverage effect than a bit with long shanks. However, it remains a severe bit due to its lowering action.
Typically used in dressage, this bit is recommended for experienced riders.
The adjustment of the curb chain allows for varying the severity of the bit.
The curb chain should be laid flat, in contact, and allow a 45° angle between the shanks and the axis of the mouth.
The use of a curb chain protector is recommended to protect the sensitive bone of the lower jaw.
- Solid mouthpiece: 14 mm
