This bit acts on the tongue, neck, and lower jaw of the horse, ensuring superior control over very spirited or powerful horses.

The leverage effect on the neck can vary depending on the rein attachment point.

It can be used with one or two pairs of reins, or Pelham converters.

The use of the Pelham bit is recommended for experienced riders.

Constructed of stainless steel, the Metalab Elite Curved Long Shank Pelham Bit includes a leather-covered curb chain for added comfort.

The adjustment of the curb chain allows for modifying the bit's intensity.

The curb chain should be positioned flat, in contact, and allow a 45° angle between the shanks and the mouth's axis.

For enhanced comfort, the upper ring used to attach the bridle's cheekpiece is turned outward, minimizing friction against the horse's jaw.
