This bit influences the tongue, neck, and lower jaw of the horse, ensuring better control of especially spirited or powerful horses.

The leverage effect on the neck can vary depending on the rein attachment point.

This mouthpiece can be used with one or two pairs of reins, or Pelham straps.

The use of the Pelham bit is recommended for experienced riders.

Made from stainless steel, the Metalab Elite Curved Short Shank Pelham Bit features a leather-covered curb chain for added comfort.

The adjustment of the curb chain allows for variation in the bit's intensity.

The curb chain should lay flat, make contact, and allow a 45° angle between the shanks and the axis of the mouth.

For increased comfort, the upper ring—used to attach the bridle cheekpiece—is turned outward, minimizing friction against the horse's jaw.
