The Metalab Flexi Medium Spanish Bit comes with a curb chain whose adjustment allows for variations in bit severity.

The curb chain should be laid flat, in contact, and allow a 45° angle between the shanks and the mouth axis.

Using a curb chain guard is recommended to protect the sensitive lower jaw bone.
