Metalab Rigid Rubber Straight Pelham bit

Featuring a straight and rigid rubber mouthpiece, this Metalab Pelham bit provides a softer contact than a steel bit, making it especially suitable for sensitive horses.

The straight design of the mouthpiece helps ensure an even distribution of pressure on the tongue and offers a sense of stability.

With the combination of leverage and a curb chain, the Metalab rigid rubber straight Pelham bit allows the rider to have better control.

This bit is ideal for achieving a quick response when riding hot and/or powerful horses.

Depending on the rein attachment point, there are 2 different effects:

• Lowering if the reins are attached to the lower rings
• Slightly elevating when attached to the main rings

The longer the shanks of the Pelham, the greater the leverage effect.

Adjusting the curb chain can alter the bit's severity.

The curb chain should be placed flat, in contact, and allow a 45° angle between the shanks and the mouth axis.

Using a curb chain guard is recommended to protect the sensitive bone of the lower jaw.
