Metalab Rubber Pelham Bit
Made from stainless steel and rubber, the Metalab Rubber Pelham Bit features a single joint. It's well-accepted by most horses, making rubber a recommended material for young horses and those with sensitive mouths.
However, this material is quite fragile and can be damaged very quickly or over time through the horse's chewing.
In this model, the rubber covering the mouthpiece is rigid, which limits its wear.
The Metalab Rubber Pelham Bit can be used with 1 or 2 pairs of reins or Pelham converters.
Its leverage effect on the neck can vary depending on the rein attachment point.
Adjusting the curb chain allows for variation in the bit's severity.
The curb chain should be positioned flat, in contact with, and allowing a 45° angle between the shanks and the mouth's axis.
Using a curb chain guard is recommended to protect the sensitive bone of the lower jaw.
- Mouthpiece: 22 mm
