Norton Elastic training reins adjustable Black
Fully elastic training aid with a less direct effect on the mouth.
Ideal for horses that stiffen their necks and resist the rider's hand, it is well-suited for training young horses.
It can be used while mounted or during lunging, attaching to the girth or surcingle on each side of the horse.
As with all training aids, it's crucial not to adjust it too tightly, especially at the start of a session. The goal isn't to constrain the horse, which could lead to resistance, but rather to establish a framework within which the horse can freely find its posture.
Fully adjustable.
How to position this training aid:
- Fold the elastic in half and place the block opposite the clips (the block should be in the middle of the elastic)
- Position the elastic over the bridle's headpiece, with the block at the top. The elastic should be evenly distributed on each side of the horse's neck.
- Thread the elastic through the bit rings, from the outside in.
- Attach the clips to the girth, on the side or at the center, depending on the desired exercise.
- Adjust the length of the elastic and thus the angle of the head by sliding the plastic block located on the neck.
If adjusted, a large loop may form over the horse's neck. It can be passed under the browband if it bothers your horse.
